Tsaghkazard

The Armenian equivalent of Palm Sunday, when churches are draped in willow branches because palms do not grow here. Kids weave willow crowns and wear them home. The blessing of the branches is gentle and joyful, and everyone takes a sprig home to tuck behind the icon.
