The sound that UNESCO recognized, the sound that makes every Armenian in any diaspora stop and stare into the middle distance. Carved from aged apricot wood, the duduk needs breath from the gut and feeling from deeper. Jivan Gasparyan made the whole world hear it, but every village had its own player first.
