The most Argentine word, used as filler, question, greeting, and exclamation all at once. "Che, veni," "che, que hora es?" Nobody knows exactly where it comes from, maybe from the Mapuche che meaning "people," maybe from the Valencian xeva. What matters is that no Argentine can speak for five minutes without saying it.
