Andorra grew tobacco for centuries. It was the crop that kept the economy alive when nothing else would grow at this altitude. The old tobacco fields are gone now, replaced by meadows and ski runs, but every Andorran family has a story about someone who worked the fields. Today honors the farmers who grew it.
